About the Tour

Once we arrive, we will have a briefing that includes instructions on how to use crampons and an ice axe and as well as how to behave on ice. After that, we have 20 minutes to reach the outlet glacier. Since it is a private tour, the pace will be adjusted to everyone’s fitness level. During our hike, we will try to find different ice formations, crevasses, and maybe even caves. Our guide and photographer will capture all this experience to make it all more memorable.

What to expect ?

This tour calls for sturdy, high hiking boots, as well as windproof and waterproof layers. There are no restaurants along the way, so we recommend bringing sandwiches, snacks, and plenty of water. Always carry an extra layer—weather in Iceland can change in an instant, and being prepared makes all the difference. The hike itself is truly spectacular: about 25 km with 1,300 meters of elevation gain, uneven terrain, and endless viewpoints. Snow and ice can appear at any time of the year, adding to the adventure. It’s a challenging route, usually taking 9–11 hours to complete, but every step rewards you with unforgettable scenery.
