Fimmvorduhals is situated in South Iceland between two glaciers, Eyjafjallajökulland Mýrdalsjökull. This wonderful hiking territory is full of great paths and trekking trails with top Icelandic scenery. Hike through the area where the infamous Eyjafjallajökull volcano eruption began in 2010!
Fimmvorduhals’ pathways display the most spectacular mountain, glacier and volcanic landscapes. Fimmvörðuháls hike which connects Skógar on the south coast to Þórsmörk in the South Highlands.
Along with its 25 km length, this trail climbs around 1000 m as it goes up above the majestic Skógafoss Waterfall. It passes by more beautiful waterfalls on a section referred to as Waterfall Way before threading through the high pass at Fimmvörðuháls. The views are amazing and full of stunning scenery all the way. Our guide and photographer will capture all this experience to make it all more memorable.
