About the Tour

Once we arrive, we will have a briefing that includes instructions on how to use crampons and an ice axe and as well as how to behave on ice. After that, we have 20 minutes to reach the outlet glacier. Since it is a private tour, the pace will be adjusted to everyone’s fitness level. During our hike, we will try to find different ice formations, crevasses, and maybe even caves. Our guide and photographer will capture all this experience to make it all more memorable.

What to expect ?

This tour requires high hiking boots But please be aware that there is no restaurant in the parking lot. It is recommended that you take some sandwiches and snacks with you. The distance from the parking lot to the glacier is short and easy; no hiking experience is needed. It is important to have a spare layer with you when hiking on the glacier. The weather in Iceland is unpredictable, and we always recommend bringing extra clothes in case conditions change. A short list of essential gear is given above.
